ARTISTS
Jordan Palmer
My name is Jordan and I've been doing art since I was in elementary school! I've actually had one of my watercolor art pieces hung in the U.S. Capitol for 2017 back in my senior year of high school. I have a diver background working in healthcare, with animals and making art on my spare time. I specialize in realism with people, animals and flowers mostly in watercolor, graphic liners and graphite.

I'm very laid back and open to talk to, sometimes I can be a chatter box! Please don't hesitate to talk to me or ask me any question! I'm very excited to meet the Tucson art community and new artist!

Jordan Palmer is available for private bookings

I use my small watercolor kit to document the places I experience while traveling and working on tje road. I was able to spend most of the winter in Arizona, spending time in the unique Sonoran desert. Where each saguaro cacti has its own personality within the Sonoran's surreal landscape.

When I make these watercolor paintings, I'm aware that cameras and AI can make the art much faster than me. So I make these paintings using techniques that optimize the strengths of this medium.Exaggerated color palettes and wild brush strokes give the viewer a stronger sense of the communication happening between my mind, eyes, and hand as I make art. It's very low tech and personal. There are faster ways to make art, but none that express me better.

Title or Location: Wild Carrots At Dusk
I named this watercolor "Wild Carrot At Dusk" (18"x14.25") I wanted to capture the sun setting on some Wild Carrots or Dacus Carota you probably call it Queen Anne's Lace. This painting is part of a series where I am working to feature everyday things in our environment to celebrate them and have the viewer look closer at their glory. Therefore I use beautiful colors and knockout textures to bring out the beauty in nature, hopefully making you look twice. The symbolism of this wild flower is san

I am trying to paint in watercolour without doing to much drawing first. I was pleased with this attempt. My Dad used to grow lovely roses and Sweer Williams. He always gave Mum red roses on her birthday or wedding anniversary. Sadly they both died a few years ago but painting these flowers brought back happy memories.
