I use my small watercolor kit to document the places I experience while traveling and working on tje road. I was able to spend most of the winter in Arizona, spending time in the unique Sonoran desert. Where each saguaro cacti has its own personality within the Sonoran's surreal landscape.

When I make these watercolor paintings, I'm aware that cameras and AI can make the art much faster than me. So I make these paintings using techniques that optimize the strengths of this medium.Exaggerated color palettes and wild brush strokes give the viewer a stronger sense of the communication happening between my mind, eyes, and hand as I make art. It's very low tech and personal. There are faster ways to make art, but none that express me better.

This painting inspired by the local ocean at sunrise is on a 4x6 inch canvas board. I particularly like the texture the canvas gives the painting and the translucence of paint on the canvas giving a watery sea foam effect.

The barnyard. When someone convinces that something happened as a result of some action or event - be careful, a lot of things happen just like that and are not connected in any way. Especially like this trick illiterate people, advertisers of all kinds, esoterics, religious people, politicians and similar characters. Is there any magic when the city is filled with garbage, in which crowds of rats scurry? You feel the power when you pull the trigger, right? Power does not give a badge or a gun.

When traveling with friends, I often look for interesting objects to use as inspiration to recreate a memory in watercolor to present as a gift of our adventure. This painting was completed in 2009 of a unique home in Charleston, South Carolina.

I live in Arizona . Working wet in wet is a real challenge. In order to keep the paper moist throughout the process, I wet it under the water faucet, front and back, then place it on a clear piece of acrylic. The whole purpose of this piece is to practice blending opposite colors without them turning muddy, and keeping the yellows from turning green. Preserving the light is key. I like to have three distinct areas of light in my paintings for the eye to follow. No reference photo required
