REVIEWS
Rico went above and beyond my expectations in providing excellent instruction, ample time to practice, and was a wonderful host. I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in watercolor, especially if they are a beginner. I learned more from him in a couple hours than in 3 other classes combined.

Title or Location: "Quiet Moment at Windy Point"
Windy Point Vista is a rocky overlook on the Mt Lemmon Scenic Parkway, north of Tucson. While the rest of our group explored the edges of the overlook, my granddaughter and I moved into a shady spot to enjoy a quiet moment. She took out her drawing pad and I took a photo, which became this painting.

Title or Location: Gates Pass
My husband and I recently moved to Tucson. When we were scouting for places to live, someone recommended that we see the sunset from Gates Pass. The drive up to the scenic overlook was impressive, but the orange sunset lighting up the Tucson Mountains was spectacular. I took a photo just moments before the sun slipped out of sight. This 9x12" painting is executed, from that photo, in watercolor and pen on paper. It reminds me of how lucky I am to live in a place so full of beauty and magic

Title or Location: Island Sunset
This 9x12 watercolor was inspired by a photograph of the Turks and Caicos Islands at sunset where she was recently visiting. Plam trees dominate tge scene overlaying the bushes with a peek of the cabanas and calm ocean in the background. You see the sky at sunset with dark rainclouds on the horizon. I painted this piece to exemplify atmospheric landscapes with both energy and tranquility,
